To Catch A Pirate Jade Parker Books
While accompanying her father on a mission from the king, Annalisa's ship is beset by pirates and all of the goods on the ship are stolen. A dashing young pirate named James also makes off with a kiss. The king charges Annalisa's father with conspiring with pirates to steal from the crown. In order to clear is name, Annalisa obtains a forged letter of marque and sets out to track down James and the stolen money. As she sails the high seas searching for a legendary treasure trove, she finds herself caught between her attractive and loyal first mate and the handsome but duplicitous James.I was hoping for a clean, sweet romance with a touch of adventure, and that is exactly what I got. James is a captivating lead whose loyalties and morality keep the reader guessing on what he'll do next and whether his next words will be truth or lies. While the story was fairy predictable, the characters were enjoyable to read and the action exciting enough to keep the reader quickly turning the pages. I'm looking forward to Parker's future offerings.

To Catch A Pirate Jade Parker Books Reviews
This was a very quick read for me. I could not put it down. I really enjoyed the plot of the story and I think that it is a great teen book. The only thing that I wished was different, is that I wished it had been written with a little more detail of the plot then what was given.
I was a bit worried that this book would be too immature for my tastes, but it ended up being a really good read. The story line is interesting and I liked the strong female protagonist who showed some weakness but wasn't an idiot. I liked the pirate tie-in... it kind of reminded me of Pirates of the Caribbean.
I loved this little book mixed with history and adventure. Great book for a beach vacation, easy read for a day in the sand.
At first it seemed a little cheesy, but what pirate story doesn't? It starts off fantastically with Anna trapped by the handsome pirate James. The story wasn't predictable, though you could sense something was going to happen. I finished this in two days, and then gave it to my boyfriend. He'd laughed about reading a girly pirate book. The next day he gave me back the book and I thought he wasn't going to read it but then he grinned. "I finished it in 3 hours." If my boyfriend liked it, you're bound to enjoy it!
To Catch a Pirate is a very quick read, basically a chaste romance novel, which is I guess why it is aimed at teens. Annalisa Townsend's father's ship is attacked by pirates, and the treasure that he was transporting for the king is stolen. Annalisa escapes unharmed except for the kiss that pirate Jack Sterling takes from her in exchange for her mother's locket. When her father is blamed for the loss of the treasure, Annalisa gets her own ship and crew together to find Jack and get her father released. Adventure ensues.
this is such an addicting book, from page one it welcomes you in to the story of AnnaLisa and James.
AnnaLisa's fathers ship is taken over by Pirates, James Sterling finds Anna in the hold and wants her necklece. she begs him not to becasue her late mother gave it to her. he kiss her then in exchange for the necklece. one year later AnnaLisa takes James Captive on her ship in oder to find the tresure of the kings, that the pirates stole. becasue of that her father is in prison.
this is such a romatic book and every chapter is a page turner, there is no boring parts in this book!
This book is the story of Annalisa Townsend who is leasving England and her mother's grave and going to a poor island with her father to make it more civil. On the voyage, pirates board. She is hiding in the cargo hold while the men fight. A pirate, James Sterling, is sent there to get some goods and finds her. He tries to take her necklace but she begs him not to because it was the last thing connecting her to her mother. So instead, he takes a ring he didn't know to be worthless and steals a kiss. Meanwhile the other pirates steal a chest full of gold that was needed to start construction on the island.
A year later she sets out with her own crew, which includes a man who wants to be more than friends with her, to get the chest and save her father who a governor thinks was involved in the robbery since he and his daughter lived. She first captures James and uses him to find the treasure. In her misson to find his ex-captain they both fall in love.
This book is amazing. it uses ship slang and the plot is very developed. I recommend this book to any one who likes adventure and romance. the only thing i didnt like was that it was to short and the ending is kind of flimsy. The heroine of the story was very strong even though she was at times vulnerable. The hero was fun and easy to drole over. Overall it was a VERY good book!
