Great remembrances of life in the 50s by one of the best American writers . I'm very glad for the reissue of this book.
Shirley Jackson is one of my favorite authors. I particularly enjoy her domestic satire.

I read this book many years ago when I was raising 5 children of my own. It was a nice way to laugh at the things that were happening to our family at the same time and realize that our experiences were common with others and that we would probably survive!
I love Shirley Jackson and have read most of her work. This collection is an opportunity to read her light stuff, and her writing is just as good here as it is in Castle and Hill House, with laughs.
Rated it three so that my review would get read. A fun surprise from the Author known for horror. She wrote The Lottery.
